  • Safety Inspectors wear the "yellow" name tag and/or an orange vest.

Track Instructors
We strive to assign each instructor to an assigned "student for the event" to avoid conflicting instructor techniques and styles.

During the first few laps of our early novice sessions our instructors drive the students car at 50 % speed. When the Yellow Flag is lifted the driver and instructor switch and the student drives for the remainder of the session.

Instructors must pre-register for all track events with .

You must also sign in at track registration and pass safety inspection.

If a pre-registered instructor does not have a "student for the day" due to overbooking they can return to registration and pay a 50% track fee and continue driving in the advanced sessions.

The Early Bird gets the worm so please pre-register 30 to 60 days early.

Corner Workers

Corner Workers are vital to our success. They keep the racetrack safer for all participants.

Corner Workers ensure safety in a variety of ways, including:
  1. Continuous communication via handheld radio with Track Marshal at 'Start/Finish'.
  2. Signaling information to the drivers with various colored flags.
  3. Keeping the race surface safe.
  4. Assisting drivers who are having mechanical problems.
  5. Directing drivers toward safe racing lines.
Become a Corner Worker

No experience is necessary to become a corner worker! Both individuals and groups are invited to sign up and participate in one of the most essential roles on track day - while getting close to the action, and occupying the best seats in the house! Past NWARC driving school students should volunteer as a corner worker at least once so they can get a feel for what happens on the track for their High Performance Driver training.

If you are willing to earn your track time, then apply by emailing our Chief Corner Marshal. You may want to hurry, the rosters will fill up quickly

For more insight into the role of a corner worker, please view the corner worker information sheet.
